SCRR’s next Early Career Researcher mini-conference will be combined with the annual Peter Wilson Lecture and held in May 2023 at the Royal Society of Edinburgh.

In order to enable early career researchers (ECRs) working in the area of rural science to engage with a wider network of people, and therefore gain the most benefit from the experience on the day, we have taken the decision to reschedule the ECR mini-conference so that it combines with the prestigious annual Peter Wilson Lecture event jointly organised by the Royal Society of Edinburgh.

The Lecture usually takes the form of a panel discussion which 100+ stakeholders attend, with networking opportunities. We will run the mini-conference on the same day, and alert event participants to the opportunity to meet and hear from ECRs. This will give greater exposure for new research and assist with opening up ECR networks more widely.
